{"id":1358,"date":"2012-09-12T11:55:20","date_gmt":"2012-09-12T11:55:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/isabelbarrosarchitects.ie\/blog\/?p=1358"},"modified":"2012-10-09T16:21:09","modified_gmt":"2012-10-09T16:21:09","slug":"architects-provide-advice-at-the-national-ploughing-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/isabelbarrosarchitects.ie\/blog\/architects-provide-advice-at-the-national-ploughing-championships\/","title":{"rendered":"Architects Provide Advice at the National Ploughing Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland will participate for the first time with a free Advice Centre at the 2012 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npa.ie\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Ploughing Championships<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>From Tuesday 25th to Thursday 27th September, the RIAI will run an Advice Centre at the show where the public can meet a registered architect for a 20-30 min. consultation, completely for free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What can I discuss with an Architect at the Ploughing Championships?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Registered RIAI Architect can provide professional advice on a wide range of issues relating to your home and your project including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improving energy efficiency and reducing your utility bills<\/li>\n<li>Building a new home or extending your current home<\/li>\n<li>Planning applications and planning issues<\/li>\n<li>LEADER funding<\/li>\n<li>Registration of septic tanks<\/li>\n<li>Sustainable development and reuse of vacant buildings<\/li>\n<li>Rep 4 Traditional farm building grants<\/li>\n<li>Conservation issues \u2013 an RIAI Conservation Architect will discuss appropriate methods and materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Isabel Barros, B.Arch. (Hons.)
