Your budget may be restricted by the personal savings you have or by the bank loan or mortgage you can get, or by a mixture of both.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding: 2px 6px 4px 6px; color: #555555; background-color: #eeeeee; border: #dddddd 2px solid;\"><strong>4. Your Budget<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Be realistic about the cost to build your project!<\/p>\n<p>The current economic climate may lead you to think everything is cheap or even free. That is not correct and if you look at our latest article about <a href=\"http:\/\/isabelbarrosarchitects.ie\/blog\/construction-costs-in-ireland-2013\/\">Construction Costs<\/a> you will realise that prices are actually increasing.<\/p>\n<p>And if that was not enough, increased responsibilities required from designers, builders and clients due to new regulations are also rising the construction costs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/isabelbarrosarchitects.ie\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Take-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2133\" alt=\"Take 4\" src=\"http:\/\/isabelbarrosarchitects.ie\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Take-4.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"264\" srcset=\"https:\/\/isabelbarrosarchitects.ie\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Take-4.jpg 600w, https:\/\/isabelbarrosarchitects.ie\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Take-4-300x132.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hot tip: Ask your Architect for an average construction price per square metre. Multiply that figure by the area you will need for your project (you can also ask your Architect for an approximate area needed to accommodate your <a href=\"http:\/\/isabelbarrosarchitects.ie\/blog\/the-secret-guide-to-deal-with-architects-take-3\/\">Brief<\/a>), add between 5% and 10% for contingencies and add costs for renewable energy systems.
