The Better Energy Homes scheme re-opened on 8th<\/sup> of \u00a0December 2011.<\/p>\n

Following a review with the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources a number of scheme revisions have been agreed.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This table available from www.seai.ie<\/a> shows the current grants available.<\/p>\n

\"Better<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The two key changes to the scheme are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Revised grant amounts for all wall insulation types and Building Energy Rating (BER);<\/li>\n
  2. Internal and external wall insulation grants will no longer be one single amount, but rather be based upon the house type.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Grants for attic insulation and all heating system upgrades including solar remain unchanged.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    There are 2 methods to apply for a Better Energy scheme grant.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Online<\/a>: \u00a0Response within 3 working days<\/li>\n
    2. Application Form by Post:\u00a0 Response within 20 working days<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
