isabel barros architects will provide general advice on the need to obtain Planning Permission, comply with Building Regulations, etc. Following this we will carry out a dimensional survey of the floor(s) to be extended and study your demands in terms of your requirements.
We will then develop a design proposal that will suit your demands, this we call it concept design or sketch design because ideas are not completely mature or fully decided at this stage.
Once you are happy with our proposal isabel barros architects will produce the plans and particulars that are necessary to enable the planning authority to make a decision.

The Extensions SPACE MAKER Package includes:
- Initial appraisal and survey of the existing interior and/or exterior, where appropriate.
- Develop concept design from client’s brief.
- Consultation with Planning Authorities, where appropriate.
- Develop detail design from approved concept design.
- An approximation of construction cost.
- Application for planning permission.
Depending on the extent of your changes and the nature of your property it may be required to engage the services of a structural engineer.
