Concept Design Stage
The concept design stage is when the client’s requirements are analysed and graphically interpreted. It is during this stage that the main ideas and concepts are created.
The Architect needs to consider not only your requirements but also a number of other factors like the local authority guidelines and statutory requirements, the planning and government policies, the planning history of your site, surrounding landscape and environment, visual impact, solar path and sustainability issues, and so many others.
During this stage the following design objectives are approached and developed: aesthetics, accessibility, cost-effectiveness, functionality and sustainability.
The concept design for your house will incorporate a series of simple floor plans and sketch drawings/perspective drawings for review and discussion. This process may take several attempts/sketch designs until all parties are satisfied with the outcome.
