This project involved the extension and internal reconfiguration of a 175+ year-old stone gate lodge.

The original lodge has been carefully restored to retain its historic character and distinctive stonework, while a discreet modern extension adds space and comfort without competing with the charm of the existing building.

The internal layout was reimagined and flipped to maximise natural light and take full advantage of stunning river views—creating a bright, open, and exceptional living experience.

This sensitive design approach allows the gate lodge to remain the focal point, with old and new working in harmony to create a timeless and functional home.
