Rose Cottage

Area: 86 sq.m.

Rose Cottage holds significant importance in the domestic architectural heritage of Duncannon, Co. Wexford.
The house is an end of terrace dormer bungalow built around 1842-1888, or earlier, and it may have been in the possession of Lord Templemore – head landlord – in the 19th century. A rear extension had been built in 1977/1978.
We undertook the design and construction of an extension while reconfiguring the layout to align with the client’s lifestyle. The works also included conservation repairs and upgrading the fabric of the house.
Our intention was to minimize the impact on the streetscape, resulting in an extension that is barely noticeable from the street.
